There are many people today who are very interested in the ancient art and science that is Chinese feng shui. They are curious as to whether or not it can really usher in positive energy and vitality to their lives, and help with such things as wealth, health, and happiness.
Of course, Chinese feng shui isn't like waving a magic wand. It won't cure all your ills or instantly make you rich. However, applying its principles to your life in general can offer a number of benefits. Here are just a few.
Chinese feng shui encourages harmony and peace within the home. It encourages people to de-clutter both their lives and their homes. It is impossible to tell other people what can and cannot be considered clutter in their homes because, as the saying goes, "one man's trash is another man's treasure". Chinese feng shui is used to encourage positive energy so anything that induces negative feelings or drains energy can be considered clutter.
This is how the thought can be applied to not only your material possessions, but to your life overall. For example, if you have a so-called friend that only calls you when he or she needs something, and has a tendency to be so overly emotional that you feel drained and empty when youre done talking? This person can be considered clutter in your life " adds nothing, and take everything.
Since feng shui is based on traditional Chinese values, it tends to focus on ideals of working hard and applying yourself to career and family. These are positive ways to use your energy, and will help encourage positive energy to expand in your life. However, the way to apply these principles to your own life will be different for you than for other people. Think about the way to apply these values to your family and career.
Do you use your time, your resources, and your energy to encourage strong family bonds? Do you see your family as an investment opportunity for that energy? If you understand and apply the principle being taught by Chinese feng shui that positive energy begets positive energy, then you wont hesitate to work hard at making your family bonds as strong as possible.
There's also a lot of emphasis on how color affects mood and energy in your environment and in the home. However, be sure that you don't mistake myth and folk lore as strict rules. While certain colors can contribute to certain moods, a red front door isn't necessarily lucky, and some colors aren't more likely to make you wealthy.
Colors used in rooms and areas of the home are simply meant to create certain moods; bright colors will energize you while darker colors will calm and soothe.
These are just a few of the ways that Chinese feng shui can be used to improve the amount of vitality and positive energy in your life.
