Many people go for an energy healing with preconceived ideas as to what the result is going to be for them, and can end up bitterly disappointed when that does not eventuate.
Part of the problem may be their unconscious misconception projected onto the healer that, the healer is a miracle worker and that all they have to do, is to lie down and be healed in an instant! If you are going to go for a session, you need to take responsibility for your own healing.
If you go to a doctor with a health issue, you do not expect an instant healing. You leave with a script for medication or for more tests to be done. If the medication does not work, you go back again until you get a result.
An energy healing session is a sacred space created for you to be with yourself and the universe. The healer acts as a channel or medium for you to receive whatever energy is for your highest good at that time. They can also convey any messages they receive during the session to you that will help you contribute to your healing.
Energy healing can help you rebalance and re-energize your body by clearing out any negative energy. Everyone who asks for healing receives, for that is Spiritual Law. You may receive insight and understanding, or you may be completely or partially healed. You may be given the next step to your healing, such as forgiving a certain person or putting something else right.
However, not everyone will see a physical healing and by that I mean have every symptom or hurt they walked in with, completely taken away.
There can be various reasons for this, including the following:
1. Some people may not be ready to accept an instant healing. To be completely healed on the spot would cause tremendous fear and shock in certain people, whose belief system does not embrace such happenings. This may result in more harm than good having been achieved.
2. There may be secondary gain issues keeping the healing from permanently taking effect, because we have free will and we decide what we allow in.
One example of this is my cousin who had pain in his knee and who asked me to send him healing. I did so and he confirmed his knee had stopped hurting. After a few days, the pain came back again. Upon further questioning, he told me he was hoping that the pain in his knee would be his excuse to leave the army!
3. People may have something more to learn from their experience. If they were in pain, the pain may go, but other symptoms may remain until they gain the positive wisdom from their illness.
If you go for energy healing with an open mind, you will gain the most from your experience by trusting that the universe has your best interests at heart and that there is a divine time for everything to take place.
