Always remember that basic theories and principles like the elements, the yin and the yang, as well as the colors will remain "as is" and that interpretations, analysis and the tools may vary within each school. The Flying Star School - This is also known as the Xuan Kong and is considered the most advanced form of this specialty education. It uses the Compass School with the Eight House Theory in order to present a very professional and comprehensive analysis of a building, such as a house. As the name suggests, it employs the nine stars or the nine energies that are flying or moving in the different directions. This particular school will teach you during your study to predict great times as well as crisis times.
The Compass School - When you choose to study in this school, your main tool is the lo pan or the compass that has eight directions. There are four good directions and four bad directions in the compass. The date of birth is also a major consideration when making an analysis based on this school of Feng Shui.
Also, during your study you will also learn the meanings of the associated elements like earth, water, wood, metal and fire. Experts in this school will be able to tell clients the best direction in the house for working as well as sleeping.
These are only two of the many schools that you can attend in order to engage in a serious Feng Shui study. Take some time to determine what your interests are and you will find learning and application will come quite easily.
