Fruit Diet – Don’t Overdo

Many people already know what a vegan or vegetarian lifestyle is. Most however, are not so familiar with fruitarians. Even though these people who are avid and strictly fruit only eaters were picked on in the movie "Notting Hill", they really do exist in our society.

The fruits diet concept traces back to primitive humans when their sole source of food was that which is considered living food, for example, fruits and vegetables. Many health and digestive problems that are created by the cooking of foods are pointed out by fruitarians. They claim that a daily regimen of raw food will reverse or stave off many common diseases and illnesses.

Following this diet very strict means eating only fruits, some very specific vegetables and a few seed varieties. Obviously food selection for a fruitarian who has chosen to follow the raw food lifestyle will depend a great deal on how strictly he has chosen to follow the diet.
