Just in time to jumpstart your new year, Legion will be opening as a wide release in theaters.
Scott Stewart, already well established in the special effects industry, extends his reach a bit more to write and direct this story about Michael the archangel battling angry angels unleashed on the world by God. If that doesn’t sound ominous to you, watch Legion online. What they lack in fangs or wolf fur, they make up for in wings.
Watch Legion online and you’ll see that Stewart is a master of special effects. An angel toting a machine gun is one thing, but thousands of the same could quickly become a scene from an Irwin Allen disaster movie of the 70’s. If you can look at the sky just for the clouds after you watch Legion online, have your reflexes tested.
If The Birds imagery doesn’t do it for you, there’s more creepiness waiting around the corner at least twice more with an ice cream man in a paper hat and what surely must be Satan’s grandma in a diner booth.

Films about the role of angels in the apocalypse aren’t common, but this certainly isn’t the first of its kind. Fans of Dogma and The Prophecy are familiar with this drill. What evil he lacks in comparison seems to be easily accounted for in muscle.
