Godhead and Incarnation
The idea of God and other matters related to superhuman powers and natural powers that seems to control the proceedings of this world, is a matter of debate, and often leads one to the fundamentals of a religion; however, we will limit ourselves to the boundaries of spirituality and would not consider any religion
as such, rather the idea of the topic in general.
This seems and sounds bizarre when we talk about the Godhead and Incarnation being different; but yes, when we are able to understand higher levels of spirituality, and when there is no wobbling of thoughts though we may learn or begin to accept new things, we can talk about these things to ascertain that God lives
on earth, specially incarnated!
Let us see what all these things mean from very universal outlook:
Godhead
The concept of God is so vast that all the thoughts of schools, all religions, and all faiths declare that God permeates everything: there is no place, no thing, no time, and nothing is there that has not God as its core. For a spiritual seeker, this is the best method to remove the fear that lurks within the
bodies of mortals, as now they can rest assured that there is no need to fear due to the omnipresence of God. Ignorance, as they say, is the primal cause of that the individual is unable to realize his or her divinity-the underlying truth of everyone is that divinity or the spirit is the root cause of everything,
and that there is nothing else than spirit itself! But as the long-believed sentence affirms that it is all God's play: where is the place for an individual will that can say that okay, I do not want to realize my divinity. It is all His play and the puppets move as directed by the director from behind. But if the
director holds all the strings and pulls, as he desires; then, where is the place for an incarnation? Why there is an incarnation anyhow? Why the universal self feels that it now has to materialize and do some miraculous works, unknown here on earth. Let us venture to find the answer with our limited wisdom.
Incarnation
The concept of God's being director and pulling the strings is a little incomplete, or so to say: God is also the Hero of the drama, around which the whole story and the plot revolve. It is for Him that the play is being played, though we feel that we are heroes by doing some good deeds and so other great feats.
This is where the veil of Supreme Ignorance puts a curtain between individual soul playing the drama and the universal soul, letting us play.
Incarnation tells us that the Hero has finally arrived to set the scores aright and to give a befitting touch to the whole story. Incarnation comes with special patent powers of Godhead, though we all are part of Godhead and all the powers are also latent in us, as some realized souls taste the bliss with their
renunciation. This is where various activities and practices adopted by many spiritual seekers come to fore, so that they can know the self within and shine in the glory of its splendor.
This is the different actually between the Godhead and the Incarnation-the Incarnation and we are Godhead, but the Incarnation comes with patent powers and we have them latent in us: not realized and known! The incarnation tells us that there are greater things to be achieved; and also tells the ways to achieve
these things. So it is clear that we are made to build a plot and create the situation so that the Divine Mercy can be induced to take the utmost step of incarnating and play the part with us, like us, among us, and for us!
