I Can Do It Conference! - Las Vegas Style

Hay House celebrates their twentieth anniversary in 2007 and one of their best offerings is the I Can Do It! conference  Hay House is a publisher of spiritual books, newsletters and sponsors of conferences and workshops all over the country.

The I Can Do It Conference! is usually held two or three times a year in Las Vegas and in Florida.  This inspiring, spiritual conferences covers topics such as psychics, intuition, abundance, affirmations, soul lessons, animal spirit guides, spiritual messengers and more.

This was the second time I attended this conference and I was not disappointed.  I came in early to attend a special evening presentation by Sylvia Browne and Colette Baron-Reid.  Sylvia was charming and funny but I was a tad disappointed by Colette.  She seemed scattered and unfocused and many of the mini readings she gave the audience members were way off base and made no sense to the recipient.  Before I saw Colette present I signed up for a workshop led by her.  After seeing her with Sylvia I decided to skip the workshop. 

Two nights later the conference formally opened with a keynote by Dr. Wayne W. Dyer.  I skipped this keynote entirely because last year Dr. Dyer put me to sleep and he often brings his daughter on stage to sing.  His daughter is a lovely person with only average talent and I didn't really want to spend an evening being alternatively bored and aggravated.

Christiane Northrup, MD opened the Saturday sessions with a keynote about menopause. Although this topic appears to appeal to women it also included sage advice and information for the men in the audience.  It is important for both genders to understand the complex transition that all women go through.

I attended several workshops on Saturday and Sunday.  The highlights were Denise Linn who spoke on the topic of "Journey Into Your Past Lives!" and Brian L. Weiss, M.D. on the topic of "Mirrors of Time:  Your Past Can Heal Your Future".  Both Ms. Linn and Dr. Weiss were funny and told great stories about clients and past life regressions.  Past life regressions and psychic exercises were included by both speakers and I left the workshops feeling very relaxed and energized at the same time.

The closing keynote as the always excellent Deepak Chopra, MD. talking about "Explorations in Consciousness".  Dr. Chopra is a talented and experienced presenter and I couldn't think of a better way to end this wonderful conference.  I can't wait until next year!
