Famous Psychics – Lisa Williams
Lisa Penelope Williams was born on June 19, 1973 in Birmingham, England. She was only three years old when she began to see dead people for the first time. They were clownish with strange blown-up faces who kept appearing in and out of the walls of her room. Some would even talk to her and tell
her things, so she would listen to them, which greatly annoyed her parents.
When she was five, her family moved into a council house in Redditch, Worcestershire, about twenty miles south of Birmingham, where she lived until she turned nineteen. She attended Ten Acres First School and befriended a girl named Samantha (Sam) Hodson, who is still her friend to this day.
Because of a hearing defect that rendered her partially hard of hearing, she had a little difficulty adjusting academically. But she quickly learned to compensate for it and grew to love sports and music, eventually joining the school choir.
Throughout all her life she continued to have strangely vivid dreams that felt real to her, which her parents simply attributed to her overactive imagination. It never made sense to her why her parents never believed her, especially because her mother’s mother Frances Glazebrook, experienced
visions that came true and saw dead people as well. Her grandmother’s favorite demonstration venue was a place called Harbourne Healing Centre, where she would communicate with people who had passed over and share the messages with their loved ones. Lisa started calling her grandmother Airplane
Nanny or Nan because she traveled all over the world to do her readings.
One day, while playing at her friend Sam’s house, they began to play with a pack of playing cards. Sam would have Lisa try and guess the cards as she picked up one at a time and Lisa got all fifty two cards right! Still not convinced she had the gift, Sam had Lisa try to guess the titles of
books and she got them right as well. As a result of her discoveries with Sam, she went to visit her grandmother, Frances, that weekend who told her she was not surprised at her so-called gifts. Lisa’s intuitions and feelings began growing stronger as she entered Arrow Vale High School while she
began thinking about becoming a teacher either in music or physical education. She stayed in school long enough to complete her A-levels, the exam necessary to qualify for university, but never achieved high enough grades to attend.
Throughout the next several years, she took many part-time or full time jobs doing anything from clerical reception work to bartending to teaching fitness and aerobics classes. Lisa went to see a few “real” psychics as well as crystal ball readers, palm readers and mediums in order to discover the
real impact of her psychic abilities. While few of those impressed her, one such psychic she met at Kensington Market convinced her that she was the real deal.
Her Nan also did a reading for her, something she rarely did for her own family members, but she had made an exception for Lisa. It was only later on in Lisa’s life when she realized the reading her Nan had done for her would prove to be accurate. In Lisa’s reading, Nan told her she would eventually
be famous, have many relationships but only truly love twice, have two older men in her life (one of which she would marry while the other would open doors for her and take her to America) and that she would have only one child. Her Nan was also convinced that Lisa was to follow in her footsteps,
even if she did not know where or how to begin doing this type of work.
Not long afterwards, she began to do readings. She soon met Simon Shore, a fine arts dealer, at a party she attended and as predicted she gave birth to her son, Charles Edward Williams-Shore, on Saturday, April 15, 2000. Unfortunately, her relationship with Simon ended several months later. After
some time passed she met her husband, Kevin, through another friend she had met via an online dating service. They were married on October 30, 2004. Her work as a full-time medium doing readings led her to America, where her television show, Lisa Williams: Life Among the Dead, was picked up by the
Lifetime TV network.
Lisa currently divides her time between her home in Los Angeles and the small town of Redditch in beautiful Worcestershire, where she lives with her husband, Kevin, and eight-year-old son, Charlie. She has recently published her own autobiography entitled Lisa Williams: Life Among the Dead, where
she talks about her experiences growing up and how she became the phenomenal success she is today.
