This essay outlines the historical context of Jung's work before going on to say that he invented the idea of the collective unconscious. Jung froze the psychological feeling of premodern mythic meaning in the invented unconscious disallowing the intellect to reflect on it. Jungian thinkers need to be organized in the sense of a general consensus on basic themes. If Jungian thought is to contribute to human knowledge (i.e towards a psychological science and ultimately towards an holistic science) then it must be organized. Its important to have a psychological science for the same reason that its important to have physical science... FOR HEALTH. No single individual can construct a psychological science.
