How to Pray: Forgiveness is Your Path to Miracles

fan and student of A Course in Miracles, but at first the text and Lessons seem quite difficult to comprehend because the Course is written in iambic pentameter! Through this series of articles, it is my intention to share in a simple, easy-to-understand way, some of the words, prayers and lessons that have inspired me within the Course.

For those totally unfamiliar with A Course in Miracles it is a self-study spiritual thought system with a central theme that teaches the best way to achieve peace in our hearts and in the world, is by forgiving ourselves and others. It teaches us to look at everything through the eyes of God, including ourselves and recognize that all relationships are holy – most especially our relationship with ourselves.

This article is about Lesson 78 which touched me because it deals with how we keep our miracles away from ourselves by holding grievances against someone else. This Lesson also speaks about forgiveness, which is a consistent theme throughout the Course.

The quote that particularly touched me in this Lesson is: “Let me behold my savior in this one You have appointed as the one for me to ask to lead me to the holy light in which he stands, that I may join with him.”

A bit of a mouthful eh? Don’t stop reading yet! Let’s break it down into sections and make it a little easier to understand.

So the first section — “Let me behold my savior in this one” – yes, THAT one – the one that might have just sprang to your mind. It may be “the

one” that usually springs to your mind because you’ve never quite reconciled “that” situation, or comment, or experience. Or perhaps it is something that someone just said to you that you didn’t like, or that driver that cut you off on the freeway. The situation or circumstance doesn’t matter – what does matter is that you have been giving him/her your power and your energy by holding on to your thoughts about the situation. And in that holding on – with two clenched fists – you can’t reach your hands out to receive your miracles can you?

Hmmmmm . . . new idea? Did you perhaps just let out a big sigh that you didn’t know you were holding?

Continuing with the next section: “you have appointed as the one for me to ask.” I really like this because it allows us to view the situation from a completely different point of view . . . that God, in His Infinite Wisdom, and the Divine in each of us in our Infinite Wisdom, has created this person, this situation, as an opportunity to reclaim our divinity, which we have obviously temporarily forgotten.

This one, this person, this situation, this circumstance offers “to lead me to the Holy Light in which he stands” . . . because of course, in Truth, that person is a Child of God JUST LIKE ME AND YOU. Your Divine Self knows that and issues you an engraved invitation “that I may join with him.”

There you go – a bridge to the miracle in one holy instant! By viewing this situation through the eyes of the Divine, then you get to make a choice to have your very own miracle! Which in and of itself is a miracle wouldn’t you say? By choosing to see the Good, the God, the Divine, the Holiness in that person’s heart, or situation, YOU get the GRAND PRIZE! The Gift!! The Miracle! You get to reclaim your divinity AND join with another in theirs! Does it really get any better than that?

In summary we have broken down this quote: “Let me behold my savior in this one You have appointed as the one for me to ask to lead me to the holy light in which he stands, that I may join with him” and now understand what a true gift it offers. Instead of seeing a conflict with another person, I can choose to see that I have an opportunity to see the Go[o]d in this person, which allows me to join with him and realize that we really are at one with each other because of the Go[o]d within each of us. And suddenly, I am no longer separated from my good, and neither is he. A win-win if ever there is one!

At the end of the day, the best way to bring the good into your life, is to unclench your fists, change your mind and allow your heart to open. All we have to do is recognize that every experience is an opportunity for our greater good, as long as we make the choice to see it that way.

May you always let miracles replace your grievances.

Law of Attraction Student Types – Which One of the Three Are You?

Most students of the Law of Attraction will go through many rotations and even more alterations of their methodologies and inner-climate before realizing how to dependably apply the power of their minds.

Initially, when we hear about conscious creation, we experience both an apprehensive hopefulness and a sincere eagerness to hear more;

we feel this overwhelming sense that we just KNEW this was true all along. This ‘can it really be true?’ information confirms something we’ve known all of our lives and yet weren’t able to articulate. When we did, share our dreams or our inner knowing that all things are possible, we were shot down, told to be realistic, that we were just pipe-dreaming, or worse that we were stupid and would never see those dreams fulfilled.

These contradictory messages coming from both fearful bystanders and well-meaning friends and family alike set up a systemic response to doubt our unlimited nature. Unfortunately, this response lives on within most of us.long after their words have been filed away in the bottomless darkness of our mental lockbox.

When we find ourselves ‘practicing the law of attraction’ and simultaneously judging ourselves as ‘not getting it right because it’s taking too long’, then we have just diagnosed a more significant crisis.

The critic within us literally becomes the enemy of our positive intentions.

The act of judging our ‘goal’ as taking too long literally sets up a vibration to push away the very thing we want. This goes for any self-criticism. For the purposes of this article, let’s look at criticism in relationship to our thoughts about the law of attraction. Do you ever think any of these (or something similar) thoughts?

- This law of attraction stuff doesn’t work.

- How long do I have to wait?

- Maybe I’m not doing it right or I’m just not good enough?

- Maybe I’m not supposed to have my dreams fulfilled.

- I can’t wait to have what I want, my life just stinks right now.

- This is taking too long.

- This isn’t what I wanted! This isn’t at all what I was trying to create!

- I’m doing everything I’ve been told to do to manifest what I want – why isn’t it working?

If you experience any of the above, then in those moments you are vibrationally out-of-alignment with the object of your desires.

However, most new conscious creation students will do the following (which doesn’t work):

First, they create powerful images, visions, affirmations and thoughts about what they want. They may even go so far as to create a treasure map or a rain dance! They feel a great sense of hopefulness and they start looking around for their manifestation.

Then, instead of appreciating the time they have to prepare for their bounty and acknowledging the Divine Order and Divine Timing, they judge the time as ‘too long’.

And, instead of appreciating the signs-of-land and doorways of opportunity that land in their path (and they always will), they judge these as ‘not good enough’, ‘not what I wanted’, and/or not a part of their Divine Path in some way.

What must happen is the eradication of all the self-doubt. And, there’s really no other kind of doubt.

We may think that we doubt the ‘law of attraction’ but we’re really only doubting our personally ability to manifest and utilize the universal laws.

When we judge what’s happening as ‘not good enough’, what we are really saying is “I’m not good enough to get what I want”.

Now, here comes the tricky part: I’m not saying DON’T self-reflect – this is critical and important. You MUST listen to what’s going on in your mind and heart in order to become a master conscious creator!

There are three ways students of the law of attraction deal with their limiting thoughts.

The first is what many ‘quick-fix’ students will do. They realize that their skeptical friends were right all along and this whole ‘Secret’ thing is just a big new-age cult! They feel somewhat ashamed for being so ‘naive’ and dismiss it all together. They go back to the way they’ve always been (what’s comfortable), and in seeking retribution for getting their hopes up – they begin to oppose us ‘woo-woo peddlers’ as snake-oil salesmen that need to be exposed and maybe in a fair and just world, tortured!

The next, is what part-time students do most often. They realize that their negative thoughts are preventing them from getting what they want. They deduce that if they just ignore those thoughts, then it would only make sense that their desires would manifest. After all, if we ignore them, they must be gone, right?!?

The good news is – they will find that little manifestations like parking spaces, butterflies, the appearance of their favorite number, and other signs and desires will manifest. These are the intentions that they’ve set forth and detached from. There’s a great deal of excitement when these things come about because we realize we must be doing something right. Unfortunately, for most of these students, the really big dreams – the relationship, the fulfilling career, the total health, and the financial prosperity, will continue to either elude them altogether, or drop-by-drop, in ultra slow motion manifest but seldom as we expected.

The third law of attraction student: These are usually those who have come from a deeper connection to the Universal Spiritual Truths.

Often, these students come from other disciplines such as Unity, Religious Science, Transcendental Meditation, A Course in Miracles, etc. and know that the power of our minds and our ability to direct our external experiences will always be dependent upon our internal

climate.

Our external reality is always a reflection of our inner reality. Thus, by expanding and embracing the Presence of God within, we make sacred our internal climate. This sacred space is vibrationally aligned with every dream we envision.

These students realize and seek first the Kingdom of Heaven within. They act intentionally to direct their overall sense of courage, confidence, openness, willingness, faith, acceptance, love, reason, gratitude and bliss. They seek these feelings and mental states first.

By seeking first the consciousness equivalent of that which you desire, you become at peace with the Divine Order and Divine Timing.

Thus, not only will you no longer worry about ‘when is it going to show up’ but you’ll also find that you’ll say over and over again, “WOW! Things sure are manifesting fast these days!”

In fact, that’s the first order of business. Start saying, “Wow!! Everything I desire is really manifesting fast these days!”

Try to do some form of weight or resistance training at least 3 times per week for 20 minutes. All very good recommendations for staying young and fit through out our years. Regular exercise is great for good muscle tone and keeping flexible it’s great for your blood pressure level and your heart health.

Stress is a silent killer and it will age you faster than all of the above mentioned. Stress must be managed and held to the bare minimum. This is easier than you think. Here is a very simple rule of thumb:

Change the things that you can and accept the things that you cannot.

Mental health & attitude. Next to Stress this is the second most important thing on the list. Your age is only a number that means nothing. Think young, read, engage your mind. Keep a positive outlook on everything that you do. Plan for the future no matter how old you are… and remember our dreams don’t retire!

Asking the Right Questions

When the crowd saw that neither Jesus nor his disciples were there, they got into these boats and went to Capernaum to look for Jesus.

When they had found him on the other side of the sea, they asked him, “Rabbi, when did you get here?” Jesus replied to them, “Truly, truly I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw signs, but because you ate the loaves and were completely satisfied. Do not work for the food that perishes but for the food that lasts for eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For it is on him that God the Father has set his seal.”

Then they said to him, “What must we do to perform the works of God?” Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God: to believe in the one whom he has sent.”

So they said to him, “What sign are you going to do so that we may see it and believe in you? What work are you performing? Our ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness, just as it is written, ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat.’” Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly I tell you, it was not Moses who gave you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is the one who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”

Then they said to him, “Sir, give us this bread all the time.”

A wise person once told me that what you see in life depends on what you are looking at, and that what you hear depends on who you listen to, just as the answers you get depend largely on the questions you ask.

Now I do apologize for beginning my sermon with such a ponderous set of philosophical axioms, but in truth I actually want to use those questions to introduce the even more obscure German philosophical concept of ‘fragestellung’, which I think translates roughly as ‘the putting of the question’. According to some of the great German thinkers, it’s the ‘fragestellung’ – ie. the way you pose the question and the position of the questioner – that is all important in determining the answer you get.

And while I’m not in the habit of calling upon the fathers of continental existentialism at this time on a Sunday morning, I did think we might need some help in understanding why Jesus responded with such aggression and even sarcasm to a group of people who asked Him a very simple question – namely, “When did you get here?”

It was the first of a series of questions that a throng of people posed to Jesus, as recorded in this Gospel reading from John chapter 6.

Jesus, it appears, was trying to put some distance between Himself and the crowd that was pursuing Him, and so as darkness fell after the great feeding miracle, He withdrew quietly into the hills and, while the crowd slept, He crossed the lake.

The crowd though, it seems, outsmart Him and track Him down. They find Him and ask, “Rabbi, when did you get here?” Jesus responds with sarcasm, “You guys are only here for another feed!”

Admittedly, that’s my translation of John 6:26. Your Bible probably reads: “Truly, truly I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw signs, but because you ate the loaves and were completely satisfied.” but I think it amounts to much the same thing.

“You’re here because you ate your fill!”, says Jesus – the implication being that they are looking for another free lunch, or, possibly, the other way of interpreting this being that they’d come back not so much for food as such but rather to see another fantastic miracle of a similar standard. Either way, it seems that Jesus treats their return with some degree of contempt!

This is not the Jesus we are used to, is it? The Jesus we are more familiar with is the Jesus who speaks of the Kingdom of God as being like one great big party to which everybody is invited – the rich, the poor, the slave, the free, blacks, whites, Jews, Greeks, males, females, gays, straights, the good, the bad and the ugly! But not here! ‘What are you doing here’, Jesus says. ‘It seems that you’re just here for the show!’

Admittedly, of course, Jesus did have the best show in town. If you were a rural peasant living out in the backwoods of Galilee, you wouldn’t get many opportunities to see something like that! Jesus was the best show in town!

That’s part of our problem for us, of course. We, the church, are no longer the best show in town – not for 21st Century Sydney-siders at any rate. There was a time when the Sunday service at the local village church, with all its pageantry and colour, was the best show in town, but nowadays we cannot compete, and that despite our excellent musical team (and first-class preachers )..

Our Pentecostal sisters and brothers tend to do a little better than us in this regard of course – putting on a slightly more dynamic show. Even so, it is hard in this day and age to compete with the level of entertainment that can be streamed directly into your living-room, let alone with the standards of performance available at the theatre, and maybe that’s a good thing, as it seems that Jesus really wasn’t interested in functioning as an entertainer.

‘You guys are only here for another feed’. It’s a harsh response to what seems to be a rather innocent question, but it’s the position of the questioner that is important here – the fragestellung. The answers they get from Jesus will depend on the questions they ask, and the problem is that they are asking the wrong questions because they are there for all the wrong reasons.

Now, as I say, I think we have to assume some level of sarcasm on the part of Jesus, as I’m sure that not all those people were all there only for the sake of getting another free feed. Indeed, I imagine that most of them were there principally because their friends were there.

That’s how most of us have ended up here in this church, isn’t it? We followed our friends? And I’m not suggesting that this is something that we need to feel ashamed of either. It’s sorta natural.

Of course that won’t account for everyone, and indeed there may be some here in church this morning who are here because God spoke to them and said, ‘Get ye up and go ye to Dulwich Hill’ just as there may be some people listening to the online version of this sermon who reached it by Googlling ‘I want to hear a really solid sermon’, but that’s not likely to account for most of us. For most of us it is most likely that we are here because we’ve followed family or friends.

Mind you, I think it’s clear too that some people do come to Jesus because they are looking for solid wisdom and rules to live by. And indeed, that had to be a part of the agenda for the crowd who were chasing Jesus in John 6, for the first question they ask Him (after the seemingly innocuous ‘How long have you been here’ ) is “What must we do to perform the works of God?”

Perhaps that was their real agenda – their deeper reason – for following Jesus. Perhaps, for many of them at least, they weren’t simply looking for another free feed but really wanted someone to tell them how they ought to be living their lives – what rules they should be following in order to please God, as indeed I think it is a very natural human hunger to want to be told what to do.

I appreciate, of course, that once we human beings reach our teenage years we tend to rail against being told what to do as much as we can, though of course one of the great ironies is that some of us who rail against the rules most violently do so by joining highly structured gangs where junior members are told exactly what they can and cannot do!

Human beings do seem to find security in straightforward rules and boundaries, and perhaps most especially in this day and age when the possibilities for life are so great and when so many things are up for grabs.

Once upon a time, it would have been straightforward to me as a young man to know what vocation I was to pursue in life. I would have followed on in the trade of my father (and become the village smith!). Or as a woman, my prospects would have been reasonably straightforward. I might have not known exactly who I was to marry, but the path of marriage and motherhood would have been non-negotiable and beyond my control, as quite possibly would have been my choice of life-partner.

Nowadays we have enormous freedom of choice, not only over how we choose to live our lives as women and men, but in terms of how we understand ourselves as women and men. And while we really appreciate that freedom and don’t want to return to the bad old days, at the same time, I am sure that the rise in popularity of more legalistic religious systems in our culture is an indication of the fact that there is something in each of us that just wants to be told who we are and what we are supposed to be doing!

I do believe that this is part of the reason for the increasing popularity of Islam in our world today. Of course an understandable contempt for the corruption of Western civilisation also plays a role, but I would suggest that one of the most attractive things about Islam is that it gives you a very straightforward set of rules to live by. It tells you exactly who you are and how you ought to live!

Judaism, which was the religion Jesus’ disciples were familiar with, does the same. It just has even more rules and regulations! And if you were a God-fearing Jew, the chief role of your Rabbi would have been to tell you, when you weren’t sure what to do, exactly what you should be doing.

And so the crowd ask Jesus “What must we do to perform the works of God?” and Jesus, notably, refuses to dictate to any of them what they should do, beyond telling them that what they should do is believe in Him!

And again the real issue here is the fragestellung – the ‘position of the questioner’ and the ‘putting of the question’. For of course there is nothing wrong, in itself, with asking Jesus how it is that God wants us to live, but if where you are coming from in asking that question is that you are looking for a straightforward set of laws and rules to live by, then it is not the right question, for that is not what Jesus was about. That was not what Jesus came to give. That is not the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ!

For what was it that Jesus came to give us? If it wasn’t a set of rules and more than it was a free feed. What did Jesus come to give us? He came to give us Himself!

“I am the bread of life”, says Jesus, “The one who comes to me will never become hungry, and the one who believes in me will never become thirsty.” (John 6:35)

And this is what we need to grasp, for this is the point of demarcation between Jesus and any number of other religious teachers, as this is the point of distinction between the Christian faith and any number of religious systems, for what Jesus gives us is not a new set of rules or a free feed. He gives us Himself, and so the Christian life is not a life lived according to a new set of laws but a life lived in mystical union with Jesus, where He enters into us by His Spirit and becomes our food and drink, so that He might live His life through us.

And it is quite possible that we will never really grasp this if we allow our relationship with Jesus to be dominated by our own set of questions – ‘how do I become successful?’, ‘where do I find happiness?’, ‘where do I get a free lunch?’ – or if our ‘fragestellung’ is such that our perception of Jesus is always twisted around our own agenda.

For what you see in life depends on what you are looking at, and what you hear depends on who you listen to, and the answers you receive depend on the questions you ask.

“I am the bread of life”, says Jesus, “The one who comes to me will never become hungry, and the one who believes in me will never become thirsty.”

After having been a medical doctor in her home country of Spain for 14 years, Monica Garaycoechea realized that although she had the success most people only dreamed of, she was still missing something. Swedish born Arne Rantzen, on the other hand, was frustrated, that his life wasn’t going anywhere.

Arne’s hunger for the meaning of life led him to Tibetan Buddhism and their common sense approach to life. Practicing the Tibetan way, whereof 5 years as a Tibetan Buddhist Monk, Arne held the honor of being the 24-hour personal assistant to the Tibetan Master Khenpo Tsultrim Gyamtso Rinpoche, while learning the Tibetan language and being part of the initial effort to translate many Tibetan books into English.

Arne was amazed when he realized that our lives are fueled by questions, and that most of them are not conducive to making the kind of permanent positive change we long to make. “Many of the questions people ask are negating a positive outcome like “Why is this always happening to me?”, “Why do I have so many bills?” or “Why do I have to work so hard?” “I’ll tell you why”, Arne laughs, “It’s because you’re asking,” pointing to the power of questions.

Because we are not aware of the power of questions we keep asking questions that are limiting; in fact, we ask more unconscious than conscious questions. That’s why the Creative Questions Cards are of such a valuable support to help identify and practice good questions. For example, your car gets rear-ended and you ask “Why did that car rear-end me?” The effect of that innocent question, leads to answers like, “because the other guy is a bad driver,” “because I’m unlucky” making a whole mountain of negativity out of that one unsupportive question. Most of the time we are not even aware of asking questions and automatically and unconsciously respond to answers. It would be better to ask, “WHAT CAN I LEARN FROM THE ACCIDENT?” and conclude that my car was rear-ended “because I need to learn to speed up,” or “I need to wake up and be more alert”.

The Creative Question Approach is an invitation to turn around your whole life and point it in the direction that you really want to go. Monica had established her own medical clinic in Spain, a history she now refers to as her “unconscious way of living.” “The deepest call that I have in my heart is to support human beings, myself to start with and the rest included! I loved my profession, but when facing my daily life and my intimate relationships – everything was upside down. So, my inner inquiry became more important than practicing as a medical doctor,” Monica said. The Creative Question “WHY DO I CHOOSE?” spurred Monica to pursue her spiritual calling rather than remain in her familiar world as a medical doctor.

Arne says, “Creative Questions are specific questions. “What work shall I do?”, “How shall I deal with my relationship?” and “Should I buy this new Car?” are not creative questions. Creative Questions train your mind, by choosing the questions that will give you the answer that you want. When you ask yourself “How shall I deal with my relationship?” you are not guided in any particular direction. This question can give you a variety of answers. Creative Questions are precise, only allowing answers that promote the result that you want, like “How does my relationship support me?” makes you realize how supportive your relationship is. Whatever you dwell on in your mind will have an impact on your life, and Creative Questions take you in a supportive direction. There’s no supportive Creativity in most of the questions people ask. Their daily actions are still built on questions, but they are generally not good questions and thus do not lead to positive changes.”

Creative Questions are designed to direct you to the attitude that will manifest the life that you want. “WHY DO I CHOOSE?” is one of the 52 Creative Questions explored, in depth, in the enlightening 80-page Creative Questions Guidebook, included with the Creative Questions Card set. This Creative Question guides you away from procrastinating to taking charge of your life. Then she explored, in depth, A Course in Miracles, yoga, Rebirthing with the founder Leonard Orr and became a teacher of Louise Hay’s “You Can Heal Your Life” program. She began to understand the bridge between our physical and spiritual lives, and that we are really creating our own lives. And today she follows the footsteps of such teachers as Gangaji, Eckhart Tolle and David Deida.

Monica and Arne are intimate partners, living and working together in a way that honors joy and aliveness as priorities. They return to the use of Creative Questions as part of their daily lives, starting at breakfast time with picking a Creative Question card as the inspiration for that day.

Monica Garaycoechea readily admits it took her awhile to really “get them”. “The day that I got the Creative Questions was when I realized that the creativity of the Universe is IN the question. The question itself opens you to discovering new possibilities.

Monica points out that “the first answers we may get from asking a Creative Question like “WHY CAN I HAVE EXTRA MONEY?” will usually be the ones that are familiar to us, like “that’s not true!” or “I don’t have any money.” But, if we return to the question we eventually get to a place where we tap into a feeling of the Creative Question that is connected to our hearts.”

Now, Monica has founded “Goddess Inspiration”, a way to inspire women to discover the “conscious feminine”. She has created the “Loving Presence” modality and is a “For a Conscious Life Coach” that emphasizes self-discovery and personal growth, bringing people to use their daily life to expand and transcend their limitations.

Arne Rantzen founded Unlimited Network in 1997 to distribute workshops “For a Conscious Life”. He is the creator of the amazing healing modalities Unlimited Body and Unlimited Breath and in 2001, he discovered the Creative Questions Approach.

What is called intentional awareness is also escalated by Creative Questions, like the Creative Question, “HOW DO I FEEL WHEN I AM FULFILLED?” immediately makes you live in that reality.

Arne predicts, ”the affirmation world is quickly transforming into the Creative Question language. There are already books coming out that talk about the importance of questions, even though, it’s still rare that they actually talk about what we call Creative Questions.”

Creative Questions direct you to investigate many aspects of your life, not just improving your material world although they can certainly be used for that. They help point you to where you want to go in every area of your life, from your personal relationships, to your health, spiritual quest, life’s work. “WHY AM I GOOD ENOUGH? WHY AM I WEALTHY? WHY AM I ADMIRED? WHY AM I INTIMATE? are just a handful of the 52 Creative Questions Cards deeply integrated in their one-of-a-kind Creative Questions card set.

How would the world be different if we spoke to our children with Creative Questions? “Why are you so demanding?” is not a question to ask your children. “Parents wonder why their children keep doing the same thing, and it’s because they keep asking them the same kind of limiting questions,” Monica says, and continuous “If they asked them “WHY ARE YOU ALWAYS SO COOPERATIVE?” they would really change their teenager. It would be better to ask children Creative Questions that will empower them like “WHY ARE YOU SUCH A GIFT?” or “HOW ARE YOU IMPORTANT?” These kinds of questions will open up a whole new level of dialogue in families.”

In a world where the majority of people want the quick fix or easy answer, Creative Questions are a very attractive tool because they have an immediate impact. Monica uses the term “Showering Yourself with Creative Question”. There is a free online audio where she showers and guides you through listening to and feeling the experience of a Creative Question. “Try to focus on the Creative Question”, she instructs. The creative part is the question itself, not in the answers. You can get rational with “WHY AM I HAPPY?” such as “because it is sunny” and because my bills are paid. But if you keep asking the Creative Question, you start to detach from the mental answers, and you begin to feel happy. Go back to the Creative Question until you see how unlimited you really are. You will feel it in your physical and in your emotional body. “I feel the Creative Question in my heart,” said Monica. “It’s a little more experiential than a thought.”

Another great impact of the Creative Question approach is that we can impact the world. Until now we often impact the world in a negative way, not supporting the world around us, when we ask with good intent things like, “Why do you look so tired?” and “Why are they against us?” There was good intent with those questions but a lack of understanding behind what you’re doing. “Mind must answer or it goes crazy,” Arne said, so the person who didn’t feel tired until we asked them why they looked tired begins to find reasons why they are tired and the person who didn’t feel threatened starts to find reasons for threat. We need to learn to say “no” to unsupportive questions and consciously choose Creative Questions.
