When we scan the listings of properties for sale, how much do we allow for, let’s say, more ‘creative’ descriptions? Are we being fed potentially misleading portrayals of houses for sale? Should we be worried about deciphering coded depictions of a home’s features? Are some secretive agents keeping the truth from us?

If a property is said to be in a ‘well-established area’, does that, in the language of the realtor, really mean that it’s in a run-down, dilapidated part of town? Is ‘convenient for public transport’ a veiled way of saying that the railway runs right along the edge of the yard? When does ‘compact’ actually mean minuscule, and only fit for housing a small pet?

At what point does subtle exaggeration, or flowery prose, become deliberate deception? And who stands to gain from it? Obviously, no agent will wish to show a potential buyer around a property that has been poorly described, as the clients will only feel misled, and, let’s face it, no-one wants to waste their time upsetting customers and causing irrepairable damage to a hard-earned reputation.

Most people in the market for buying a property, will of course expect, and allow for, a little bit of smoke and mirrors. But clearly overblown & inaccurate descriptions will almost certainly result in the total loss of a deal. The problem is, that in an industry that has an unfortunate, and largely unjustified, reputation for greed and dishonesty, many home seekers will be expecting to have an agent try

to pull the wool over their eyes.

On the other hand, some property descriptions may be a little too enthusiastic. One Wisconsin property was recently advertised, containing the line “spectacular room to grow marijuana”. And while this definitely drew a good deal of attention, it certainly upset other realtors, who were outraged by the inclusion of such wording on a multiple listings service.

At least with the relative safety net of online multiple listings services, descriptions are generally required to conform to a standard, which is overseen and monitored by the local MLS board. In the past, each real estate company had its own inventory of properties for sale, and not only did buyers have to trawl through the many listings, but it also gave the individual companies carte blanche, when it came to how they worded the marketing material of their properties. Not all were entirely transparent in their written accounts.

It would be advisable to use the information on any listing as a guide, as opposed to regarding it as a cast-iron description, and make sure that you allow for some generous interpretations. After all, few home seekers will want to view an otherwise perfect home that states “horrendous 1970s brick fireplace”, but they may be tempted by “interesting, original features”‘. And as long as ‘quiet neighborhood’ means, nice, tranquil community, and not that the remainder of the houses on the street have been condemned, you’ll be just fine.

For professional Calgary real estate services and listings, visit CalgaryRealEstate.pro – the site is clean and informative, with details about every corner of the city, including Calgary condos for sale.

No related posts.

Spiritual New Age Writing for Intelligent People

Carlos Seeker

Metaphysical new age

New age download

New age internet

New age online

New age spiritual

New age spirituality

Past life therapy

Photography

Spiritual new age

Spirituality
<guid

Spiritual New Age writing often seems to be written for the mentally challenged. Not only is it simplistic and rife with the same mindless clichés, but much of it is embarrassingly false (the so-called Mayan Prophecy for 2012 is a good example ? a completely New Age fabrication which no real Mayan Indian believes in). The seeker after true New Age spirituality feels like he or she is wandering in a desert. This contrasts sharply with most Buddhist writing, which is sharp, clear, down-to-earth and real.

The trouble with most fluffy spiritual New Age writing is that it blames the reader: ?Just think happy thoughts and everything will be sweetness and light!? ? implying, when this doesn?t work, that it?s obviously the reader?s fault. This is not true ? it is our society which trains people to hate themselves, and to live in a state of constant denial and dissatisfaction (which only endless shopping and consuming can ameliorate). Take, for example, a recent New Age bestseller which exhorts people to ?Be impeccable with your word; don?t take anything personally; don?t make assumptions; always do your best.? The degree of profundity or usefulness of this advice is beside the point; it does a disservice to the reader. No effort was made to explain to people why it?s impossible to be impeccable with one?s word (in a society based upon lying to other people and oneself); not to take things personally (when all social training is pointed at inflating self-importance); not to make assumptions (in a society which discourages thinking for oneself, or thinking at

all); or why it?s impossible for people to do their best (in a society which teaches people to be helpless and self-pitying). In other words, fluffy writing just adds more guilt to the burden of self-hatred which people in our society are already carrying by blaming them, rather than their social conditioning, for their unhappiness. New Age spirituality for intelligent people should be a path to find real answers to people?s real everyday problems, not merely another blind alley.

Fluffy writing may sound soothing because it?s simplistic; but it?s of no real help to anyone. People need to be told that it?s okay if they are unhappy; that everybody in our society is unhappy (and any appearance to the contrary is just that ? an appearance). This is not to say that people don?t have to take complete personal responsibility to get themselves out of the messes they find themselves in. Just that there?s no need to feel guilty for not fulfilling society?s expectations (including being able to ?think happy thoughts?), since society?s expectations are impossible to fulfill; moreover, the rewards for fulfilling them aren?t even worth it. This realization is the first step on the path of New Age spirituality.

Bob Makransky

Author Bio
Seekers of true spiritual New Age information should check out the works of Carlos Castaneda. And where Kenya was always the quintessential home of the safari.

Many visits later I’m no less enthralled by this region of dramatic contrasts, and remarkable wildlife amid stunningly beautiful and varied landscapes that are still unencumbered by the trappings of man. And little compares to nights filled with the primal sounds of the bush – the hoots and laughs of hyenas, the grumble of distant lions and the snorts of a hippo.

Kenya, the land where safari was born, is also known as the cradle of mankind – evidence of some of the earliest human settlements has been found here, suggesting that it was the birthplace of humanity from which descendents moved out to populate the world. However, it’s the boundless wilderness and big game of this region that has long attracted adventure seekers from all over the globe. No other African country can boast such an incredible range of scenery, unique geographical features and species.

A safari in Kenya is an extraordinary holiday for any wildlife lover, no matter your budget or the level of adventure you’re looking for. There’s no end of things to explore; from the highlands of central Kenya to the great Rift valley; from the elephants of Amboseli wallowing in a small watering hole, to the vast shores of Lake Victoria, the second largest lake in the world; and from the spectacular views of Africa’s highest point, Mount Kilimanja

ro, down to a coast of shimmering white sands along the Indian Ocean.

Soak up the wonders of nature while camping under the stars out in the bush, hundreds of miles away from civilization, or relax in luxury at one of the lodges scattered throughout the many game reserves and national parks of this magical country.

Whether you’re walking, driving, or even bobbing your way across the plains atop a camel, you’ll discover the scents, sounds, and footprints of the bush, as you enjoy the sight of a hyena at full gallop, weaving behind the adrenaline-powered run of a gazelle, or a mighty battle as buffalo bulls fight over territory.

If you venture on a Kenyan safari during July or August, perhaps the best way to check out the wildlife is by hot air balloon. Few places offer a better vantage point from which to witness the amazing phenomenon that is the annual wildebeest migration across the plains of the Maasai Mara, when millions of hooves thunder northwards in search of sweeter grazing during the drier months in the south.

The Maasai Mara Reserve, 200 sq miles of rolling hills, woods and acacia trees watered by the Mara and Talek rivers, opens onto the Serengeti plains of Tanzania. Home to the famously independent and traditional herdsmen, no trip to Kenya would be complete without a visit to Masai Mara. They regard themselves not just as residents of this area but as much a part of the life of the land, as the land is part of their lives.

A visit to Kenya is a veritable life-changing experience filled with an abundance of wildlife, including elephants, zebras, black rhino, lions, leopards and various antelope. One visit alone will be enough to make you understand Earnest Hemmingway’s words, “unknowable, unimaginable, unbelievable… and completely unforgettable.”

Carlos Cuzme is a travel expert to Africa and specially to the luxury safari business. for more information on safaris to Kenya visit: Kenya Luxury Safaris

No related posts.

Visiting Beautiful Madrid

Carlos Seeker

Baroque Period

Capital Of Spain

Cosmopolitan City

Financial Institutions

Fortress Construction

Las Acacias

Paseo Del Prado

Plaza Mayor

Southern Portion

Spanish Parliament
<guid

It is located in the center of the Castilian Plane and at the very heart of the peninsula. It is exactly 646 m. above sea level. The population is about 3 million.

Madrid is also a business center, cosmopolitan city and houses the headquarters of the Government, Public Administration, home of Spain’s Royal Family and Spanish Parliament. This city plays an important role in both industrial and banking sectors of Spain.

The southern portion of the city mostly caters a lot to its industries such as numerous metal, food and textile factories. The city of Madrid is often described as having an intense artistic and cultural activity. it is also known for having a lively nightlife.

This city’s grand metropolis can be traced to its origins during the time of Arab Emir Mohammed I in 852 to 886. Emir Mohammed ordered the fortress construction on the banks of the Menzanares River. This later became a topic of dispute among Arabs and Christians until it was finally conquered in the 11th century by Alonso VI and his troops.

During the late 17th century, a defensive wall was constructed to protect the outlying areas. The wall traces were found on the roads of Toledo, Segovia and Valencia. After another century, arteries of the city were designed under the reign of Carlos III. These arteries of Madrid are Paseo las Acacias and Paseo del Prado.

Joseph Bonaparte undertook Puerta del Sol’s reform during the 19th cent
<img

The street is called Gran Via.

The extensions of the North and South Boulevard in Madrid known as the Paeo de Castellana were made during the late 1950′s and new buildings were built. These buildings became the home of several financial institutions.

The remains of the past mainly come from the neo-classical and Baroque period from the 17th to the 18th centuries. Some examples of these structures are the Palacio Real and Plaza Mayor.

Aside from this, numerous hotels in Madrid provide discounts for tourists. Tourists can now enjoy their hotels without the worry of spending too much.

Madrid is a good place for holiday seekers who want to experience something different. Moreover, it has affordable airfares all year long. What’s even more exciting is that wherever you are, it only takes a few hours to get to Madrid.

International flights arrive at the Madrid Barajas Airport. The airport is situated 8 miles or 13 kilometers from the very heart of the city. There are numerous ways on how to get to the city from the Barajas Airport. One way is to take the “Metro” which takes around 30 minutes. It is the most popular transportation for the locals.

Another way is to get a cab or taxi. You can also take a shuttle bus. Cabs or taxis may be warm and comforting but it will take about an hour to get to your destination due to heavy traffic jams. Once you arrive in the hotel, the best way to explore the city is by foot. Madrid is well suited for walking trips. You will also be able to take a lot of souvenir photos.

For more information on Boletos de Avion and Boletos de avion a Mexico DF please visit our website.

No related posts.

Traveling Through Europe

Carlos Seeker
<guid

The summer of 2005, my friend and I decided to apply for a summer program as part of our graduate degree and travel from United States to Europe and specifically to Brugges in Belgium, so as to attend an intensive seminar at The College of Europe on Politics, Policies, Lobbying and the European Union. Although I have never visited Belgium before, I was really excited to discover, while browsing the internet, that I was about to visit one gorgeous and historical city of the “Old Continent,” while enhancing my academic knowledge and meeting new people.

Before leaving the US we printed any information we could find regarding the city’s tourist locations, interesting cafes and historic buildings. Although Brugges is a very small town, it offers a lot of possibilities to those interested in exploring its excitements. But even if it surpassed our expectations, visiting only one European town or country seemed a waste for such a trip. Thus, we decided in advance to research the opportunities a young graduate student has while traveling around in Europe and the most convenient, cheap and interesting way to go from city to city and country to country was via train. The Eurorail trains are the simpler way people have to visit a variety of European destinations, as boarding a train actually offers to the adventure-seekers the possibility of having an extraordinary trip and admiring the countryside in the meantime.

In fact, upon the completion of the summer program, we packed our bags and traveled from Brussels to Amsterdam. The Net

herlands’ capital was a combination of beauty and adventure. The city streets, the people walking or bicycling around, the nice weather and its countless river docks create a unique combination of images, which are food for hungry eyes-like ours. Since we had less than 48 hours available to see as much as possible, we decided to pay a visit at the Van Gogh Museum, walk the Red District by night, and of course take the tram to travel through the city and gaze its unbelievable beat.

Next stop was Paris, France. Lucky as we were to find an available and affordable room as soon as we got off the train station, the next thing was to find a map of the city and its incredible metro system and travel around to check everything! Notre Dame, bridges, the Eiffel Tower, the Bastille, Champs-Élysées, small cafes and long walks across the Seine River or through the area of Montmartre, made our stay in Paris unforgettable. In fact, one of the best pictures we got from this trip was in front of the Arc de Triomphe and we took it by ourselves-both faces appear on the frame. Monte Carlo was our next and most expensive destination, but its beaches and sun gave our trip a legendary feel.

Next, we visited Italy. Florence and Venice, two of the most important trade cities in Europe offered us some life-time opportunities. Historical monuments, paved streets, canals, museums, restaurants and Italian cafes convinced us that Italy is actually much more than an interesting destination. Even with on-going departmental budget cuts, outsourcing executive search can be a wise decision.

Did you know that an executive recruiter works for the corporation not the job seeker? As a result a professional executive recruiting firm will align with your goals and objectives to fill senior leadership roles. The number one purpose for hiring an executive search firm is to have an experienced and professional resource to search, screen and interview highly qualified candidates for your organization.

Since the executive recruiting industry is fragmented, you may come across a number of small firms that offer the services you are seeking. While you may find a greater degree of comfort by working with a large company, hiring a small retained search firm can have its advantages. In fact, both large and small executive recruiting firms will assign a consultant to work with your account. Therefore, as long as the consultant has experience, you can safely choose a small and possibly even more personable executive search firm to manage your recruiting needs.

When evaluating an executive recruiting firm for your next high-level management opening, ask these questions.

Have y<div

While an unexpected expense can be difficult to justify, some unforeseen expenses can save time as well as frustration. If your recruiting efforts bring in unqualified candidates, then the cost to hire an experienced executive search firm will definitely outweigh its expense.

For critical or major positions why not evaluate retained executive recruiters in your area? Their services can be used to supplement in-house recruiting efforts and to attract the right candidates for your leading management positions.

This article is brought to you by BlueBridge Group, an Atlanta based executive recruiting firm that provides boutique level executive search services nationwide. With its unique and diverse culture, visitors from both sides of the world cannot help but wonder at the beauty and attractiveness of this country. Its diverse and interesting culture is a result of its colorful past.

After being colonized by various countries for several centuries, it has emerged to become one of the most beautiful countries worldwide. Among the most visited parts of the Philippines are Manila, Baguio, Boracay, Palawan and Cebu.

Each of these travel spots has certain things to offer which are completely different from the other. Among the places mentioned, Boracay is probably the best. Despite being commercialized all over the world, this beautiful tourist spot has maintained its quality, as well as its reputation as one of the top beaches in the world. It offers good food, cozy hotels, exciting outdoor activities and endless partying with its beautiful crowd at night.

The most important part of this country is Manila, which serves as its capital city. Most of the important events in business, politics, as well as in arts and entertainment, take place in this area. One of the major events flocked by both local and foreign devotees is the feast of the Black Nazarene, which is held annually in Quiapo.

Meanwhile, Baguio is the summer capital of the Philippines. Visitors can enjoy the good weather and outdoor activities offered by this place. Among the top outdoor activities in Baguio are horseback riding and boating. Another main feature of

this place is the flower festival, which serves as a garden show for home gardening and small businesses within the area.

Palawan is undoubtedly one of the best tourist spots in the country. This place combines urban development with exotic wildlife and natural resources. The discipline and cooperation of its local residents help maintain the natural balance of the environment. Besides its beautiful white sand beaches as well as its azure waters, visitors can also visit good places like the Calauit Island in Northern Palawan and the Tabon Caves in the southern part of the region.

Cebu will not be outdone by its counterparts. It is known as the oldest colonial city in the country. Among the most frequented places by visitors in the area are the Kawasan Falls, Fort Santiago and the University of San Carlos, which is known as the oldest university in Asia.

These tourist destinations serve as national treasures for the Philippines. They play a very significant role for the country’s economy. Taking care of these resources is of utmost importance, both for the government and its citizens. They offer insurmountable fun and adventure for thrill seekers who want to experience the very colorful culture of this country. These places provide visitors something worth remembering for.

Peter Garant is writing Philippines Travel Articles for both Dumaguete Info and Palawan Info.

No related posts.

Addictions Awareness

Carlos Seeker

Addict

Cigarettes

Death Defying Acts

Effect Job

Instant Gratification

Long Stay

Moderation

Prayer

Rape

Thrill Seeker
<guid

True addiction to anything is a very serious state of mind. The mind of an addict has at one point been reprogrammed to focus one one thing, and that’s whatever they are addicted to. In pretty much every case of addiction, the process started out with something that seemed innocently entertaining or experimenting with something that provided the thrill of instant gratification of one sort or another.

Addictions come in many forms. From cigarettes to gambling, to the more appalling addictions of a criminal mind, including rape and murder, to the death defying acts of a thrill seeker. A person can become addicted to basically anything, and on a positive note, people can even become addicted to doing good, positive and productive things as well. It’s the addictions people have that create some type of negative effect that can change them forever and ruin their lives.

Drugs, alcohol and tobacco products seem to be be the big 3 items that people can easily become addicted to. These are things are readily available in our society today, and if taken properly or in moderation, the harm is limited. It’s the overdoing of these things that can change personalities, tear apart families, cause cancer and other irreversible physical damage, destroy ones finances and seriously effect job retention.

And it all starts from the mind of a person thinking, that if a little makes you feel good, a lot will make you feel even better. It’s the “Snowball Effect” in literally every case.

People that live a c<div

Reprogramming the brain is the only way to break an addiction, and sometimes that requires a long stay in a rehabilitation setting before that can be achieved. Don’t do things that can become addictive in the first place is the best policy. Breaking addictions is not an easy thing to do, but with prayer and the understanding and support of one’s family and friends, it can be done.

Breaking an addiction problem often requires interaction with others that share your problems. Well known for its casinos, finest hotel and satisfaction guaranteed, mouth watering gourmet dining, world class events, upscale shopping, thriving nightlife and tax friendly business location.

Authors have been writing about expensive cities in the world and never misses Monte Carlo on the list. An annual report have cited Monte Carlo as the most expensive property market in the world for two years in a row. Selling $4,420 per square foot, more than double that of second placed Moscow with $1,937. Monte Carlo’s average square feet amounts to $47,578. Indeed not so friendly for the checkbook. Let see, Monte carlo is abundant in sunlight that means more activity for the people thus produces more activity for the economy. So that means we are putting an upward sloping scale on the picture. Also been known as the playground for the rich and famous I guess that gives us another reason.

Finding fine hotels in Monte Carlo is 123 easy, checking in is quick, hotel staff are pleasant and business like, most hotel amenities are free, and not to mention the abundant and delicious buffets that surely pays back your accommodation. 1 and 2 stars can cost you an average of 70-80 euros while 4 and 5 stars ranges about 250-330 euros per night on low seasons. Restaurants are perfect with lots of selection and prices round up to 40 euros converting it to about<div

A 50 dollar can take you to an expensive resturant in NY, however 40 euros of dining in Monte gives you a three main course meal and a bottle of house wine or equivalent. No wonder that it is able to maintain its reputation and still attracts the world’s most talented artists and athletes. Monte Carlo casinos are vibrant filled with entertainment seekers wearing classy dresses and suits.

Grand Prix being the most famous event in Monte is 78 laps on a 3.340 km circuit, racing around the narrow streets of Monte Carlo and La Condamine that includes the famous harbour. This event has started since 1929 and still keeps attracting more and more visitors. It has so much going on aside from the blazing cars that flashes on the street. Party goers crowd the bars with happy faces and so much life even at sun down. Buying a property in Monte can be a total blast from your account but it is difinitely a place to spend your money for an experience you would not want to forget.

Greengirl Sydney traveling New-Zealand, Australia and USA<br
